Hey There!
I am Namrata Agrawal. I am an independent artist with a diverse background in performing arts, applied theatre, and writing. With a profound love for storytelling, I transitioned into a full-time artistic career in July 2024, after five years of experience in applied theatre, acting, and creative writing, coupled with 7+ years of corporate experience in HR operations, Sales, and content writing.
Currently, I am working on my craft as a writing intern under the mentorship of Nikhil Mehrotra, the celebrated screenwriter known for Chhichhore, Dangal, and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Previously, I have worked with Bengaluru-based Management Consulting company, LifeUnscripted, as a freelance actor, facilitator, and content writer, collaborating with clients such as SONY, BEL, Novozymes, WeWork, and HAL. My expertise includes designing and delivering theatre-based intervention programs on such issues as gender equality at the workplace, unconscious biases mental health awareness, the power of collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at work.
Some of my key achievements include independently creating a short film and a mono-act for the IFP 50-hour challenge, where I explored themes of human relationships and mental health, with a strong emphasis on storytelling. I’ve also participated in multiple categories at the IFP 50-hour challenge, including writing (with a think piece), performing arts (through the mono act), and filmmaking (using mobile devices). Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate remotely with talented teams to develop a screenplay for a short film, allowing me to expand my skills across different areas of the creative process.
I've had the privilege of training under some incredible professionals across various fields of film and theatre. My journey began with a Basic Theatre in Acting course in November 2017, led by Nandini Rao. In November 2019, I deepened my understanding of film with a Film Appreciation Course by FTII, taught by Sudipto Acharya. I also participated in the Rangshila Acting Workshop in August 2022, conducted by Sachin Malvi, a versatile screenwriter, director, and theatre practitioner. More recently, in March 2024, I enrolled in the Fundamentals of Film Direction course by FTII, where I learned from National Award-winning directors Avinash Roy and Jasmine Kaur Roy. Later that year, in April 2024, I honed my voice and acting techniques through the Tools of Voice and Acting workshop with Shikhar Mishra, also known as Theatrewala. In October 2024, I dove into The Art of Scriptwriting with Nikhil Mehrotra, and in December 2024, I took a comprehensive course on The Art and Business of Producing Films, taught by Miriam Joseph, known for her work on Don, Trial by Fire, and Luck by Chance. It’s been a fulfilling journey of learning, and I’m excited to continue growing in the industry!provide comprehensive coverage of the arts.
I am always eager to work on projects celebrating storytelling's power and exploring meaningful narratives. I would love to connect if you are looking for an artist to join your creative journey or contribute to your projects.
Feel free to contact me for any paid opportunities in writing, acting, filmmaking, producing, or theatre-based programs.
